Historic U.K. Statue turned into Homer Simpson

In the village of Dunchurch, England, there's a statue of Lord John Scott, the town's most famous citizen. Every year, someone decides old John needs a bit of a makeover and dresses him up just a little differently around Christmas.

This year, Lord Scott became Homer Simpson, complete with yellow skin, blue pants and white shirt.

What at first seems to be an act of fantastic and tolerable vandalism is actually something of a tradition. In fact, it's been going on for over 40 years.

Previously the Lord has been dressed as Homer's son, Bart, as well as Shrek, Harry Potter, Guy Fawkes, Spider-Man, Santa Claus, Darth Maul, a penguin, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and a Teletubby.
